Laser Hair Transplant
Laser Hair Transplant
Lasers are now widely used in medical procedures which is why laser hair transplant procedures are now the norm. The laser energy that is used will stimulate hair growth. The laser light used in promoting hair growth is defined as Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT).
“Very friendly and thorough. All alternatives were discussed. The operation was pain-free and the aftercare was very accommodating. I look forward to the months ahead.”

Laser Hair Transplant – how does it work
Red Laser Light Therapy to give it its proper name is used to stimulate the scalp which will generate new and healthier cells in the scalp which in turn will increase hair quality and strength.
It will stimulate the energy and blood supply making existing hair appear much fuller and thicker. It is classed as a non surgical procedure.
If this is a treatment that is right for you it is worth noting that it is very safe and painless. Laser hair transplant will work on both male and female hair loss. It is recommended on patients suffering from psoriasis and seborrhoeic dermatitis. Now for the science; Light from a laser in a specific wavelength will have an effect on your body. It is theorized that when the laser light is absorbed by what we call target tissue molecules, the energy level of the molecules will increase making the molecules respond by ‘working off’ the excess energy with adaptive changes.
Depending on certain criteria these changes can be chemical or physical, and they may have biological effects on the target tissue or surrounding tissues.
The changes in the molecules are brought about by what we call phototherapy, these chemical changes are said to be due to ‘photochemistry’ where as physical changes are called ‘photophysics.’ As a result, the biological effects on tissue are known as photobiomodulation.
Laser hair transplant procedures are now very very common and will suit a vast majority of clients suffering from hair loss. As always an initial consultation will be needed to see if this is a treatment suitable for you.
